Goodbye to a dear part of our family.

We had to have our Kate put to sleep last night. She has been a part of our family for eight years so she is leaving a big empty spot. Cancer had started to spread all through her and it wouldn't have been much longer for her.

Oh, Lori and family - I'm so sorry about your dog. She looks like a such sweet natured friend. Sounds like she was in for some painful days though, so, however hard, you made the best choice for her.

Sorry!!! That's a hard thing to have to do.
We had a fun day today at Cyndies!

Do you remember Taffy? The cocker spaniel we had in El Dorado? She had lymphoma and mom had to take her to have her put down when we lived on the farm. I still remember how that felt. Mom was saying she remembers crying all the way to the vet's office and all the way home. Dad buried her in the back and had a little rock for a headstone. :-) Bad memories, turned good!
